Jurassic League 2023 – Swanage Regatta

Swanage Regatta 

Saturday 10th June 2023

So……we had an absolute blast at the Scillies and it certainly got the competitive juices flowing, sadly with Weymouth regatta being called off due to weather conditions it meant we had to wait just that little bit longer for us to get Pulpit Rock back on the water racing again, but soon enough it was time for the Swanage Regatta!

This the first points scoring regatta for the Jurassic League and there was a lot of excitement in the air for many reasons. First league regatta of the season, the sun was shining, rowing conditions were ideal but mainly it was because we had so many competing in their first ever regatta! There was also a birthday celebration for Becky which involved chocolate cake which went down a treat with the team. 

All in all it was a very enjoyable day with the squad, a great day of racing, managing to get boats out in 10 races – and we are super proud of everyone that took part and represented the club – especially those making their competitive debuts, no doubt there were some nerves there but the nerves were channelled into some decent rowing.
