Ten Year Celebration

2019 marks ten years since Portland Gig Rowing Club was formed and the Marina Paddle Day proved an ideal opportunity to celebrate. Portland Marina kindly offered us the use of their waterside marquee, PGRC members added decorations and approximately seventy members and guests enjoyed a buffet meal. There was a celebration cake bearing our club badge and fizz to toast the club. Musical entertainment was provided by the brilliant Aaron and Karina duo playing tunes from across the decades (we knew Karina as a member and regular rower but very few of us realised that we rowed with a very talented singer). A big thank you to Portland Marina for the use of the marquee and to our members that organised and prepared the celebration, it was a resounding success.
