Swanage Regatta – 2016

Our club was represented by a junior team this year, the adults being busy with holidays, weddings and a number of injuries/illnesses. Our lads did us proud in  ‘Old Harry’ a gig borrowed from Swanage. They had an excellent start heading off along the 1st leg pulling their way past other gigs. After rounding the two turn buoys they were in 3rd position. Pulling hard along the final straight they pulled away from the 4th position gig,  finishing 3rd with a time of 9 mins 37 secs, beaten only by two strong Cornish crews.
