The rescheduled Lyme Regis regatta was held in good weather with a calm sea. Visibility and viewing conditions from the top of the Cobb wall were excellent for the crews, supporters and spectators.
Thirteen gigs took part in the racing which was around a 1.4 mile kite shaped course. Crews powered through the water with their coxes giving maximum encouragement. Portland Gig Rowing Club’s men’s B crew, in ‘Pulpit Rock’, achieved our best result finishing third in their race. With all races complete Pulpit Rock achieved overall equal 8th position.
Thank you to all those that participated and supported and to Lyme Regis Gig Club for a good day.
